Bird and Flying Insect Routes Along the border with Mexico are places where migration of birds and insects frequently occur, and these areas can be detrimental to high-speed trains and vehicles, as well as to the birds and insects.  Butterfly and Bird migration happens along the U.S.A. and Mexico border in several areas.  While we cannot stop 100% of the strikes between birds, insects, and vehicles, we can do things to limit the amount.  We can add tenting type covers where the majority of these creatures pass, or we can add sound systems that scare the animals, or we can just slow traffic to less than 50 MPH in the high incident areas.
