   FAQ / WHY?

Amusement Park and Wild West towns

Our American Southwest has several old west villages packed full of history and fun, for example Tombstone, Tubac, and Tucson in Arizona, each within an hour or less drive from the Mexican Border.  The BorderTransportationSystem will have stops at Nogales and Douglas Arizona and since the high-speed rail can bring people from San Diego or Brownsville to these in a few hours, there will be an increase in visitors, visitors that will be spending money on attractions, food, accommodations, gifts, etc.

Trips that take lots of planning and days of travel to places like Big Bend Ranch will now become a 'day' trip, thus attracting many more visitors and the associated spending.  U.S.A. and Mexican towns and ranches that have been isolated will now have an opportunity to grow and add attractions that can bring in outside money, including money from foreign tourist.

Note:  There are plans to open up a high-speed rail from Tucson to Phoenix, and there is a rail route dating back over a hundred years from Nogales to Tucson, perhaps a High-speed People Mover is in order as a side branch of the BorderTransportationSystem.  This would also open up Tucson International to the towns south of Tucson, which at present have to drive from 20 minutes to approximately an hour, if in Nogales on the border.
