Motels, Hotels, and Resorts
Here is an opportunity for producing wealth that can be sustainable year round. The American Southwestern states of Arizona, southeastern California, and New Mexico are considered 'Snowbird' areas in that when it snows in the northern states, there is a flight of individuals to the southwest, and when this happens our RV Parks, motels, hotels, and resorts fill to the brim. But, as soon as the snow melts, and the desert heat moves toward the 90+ mark, these Snowbirds fly back to their cooler nesting areas, thus leaving the southwest devoid of this tourist income.
What many people do not understand is that much of our U.S.A. / Mexican border is higher in elevation than in the U.S.A. some 30 to 150 miles north, and thus due to the higher elevations the temperatures may be tens of degrees cooler. Also, as one travels east from San Diego he or she will enter eastern Texas and it too has milder temperatures that are more desirable to travelers.
The development of the border via the BorderTransportationSystem will bring in tens of thousands of visitors, workers, engineers, developers, managers, sales people, pass-thru travelers, etc., and thus this will open the need for motels and hotels. In addition, resorts with golf clubs may be considered in areas of the Rio Grande that have year-round water resources, like the two lakes on the Texas / Mexico border.
