Private Hunting and Fishing Texas is known for its yearly Rattlesnake hunt* and for its access to various ranches that allow hunting.  The BorderTransportationSystem will allow people to access these ranches and events within hours, not days, and thus this will present an opportunity for the private land owners to offer 'paid-for' hunting and if possible, fishing.  The BorderTransportationSystem also opens up private opportunities for ranchers to offer hunting, bird and wild animal watching, hiking, horseback riding, wagon-rides, shooting ranges, ATV use, rodeos, dirt bike racing, and much more.  The system can make money with the transportation, electric power, water, and a small use fee on each permit, or ranch visitor. Note:  The Endangered Species Act, good conservation, and all other applicable hunting and fishing law of the state in which the hunting or fishing occurs must be followed.  Heavy fines and fees are available for those that violate the laws.  Rattlesnake hunt * "The Annual Sweetwater Jaycee's World's Largest Rattlesnake Round-Up" is hosted yearly in Sweetwater in west Texas over the second weekend in March.
