Less Border Patrol needed The BorderTransportationSystem is designed to make if very difficult for any person or group to cross the border from Mexico into the United States of America, and being such it will lessen the need for redundant border checkpoints.  Currently we have checkpoints at the border in various towns and cities, and each checks trucks, cars, motorcycles, and people for contraband such as illegal drugs, smuggling people, and bringing in taxable items.  This check is reasonable through, but there are times when something slips through. Items that slip through the immediate border are then subject to being caught miles from the border by a second checkpoint, and sometimes a third.  This is costly as it slows down the legitimate and legal traffic and commerce, and cost money paying for the equipment and personnel that man these checkpoints. The design of the BorderTransportationSystem is such that it is very wide and very high, and with super fast traffic on all levels is very dangerous to cross on foot.  The design also contains all sorts of sensors that can detect anything that is out of the normal, such as a low flying aircraft or a tunnel being dug under it.  The design being computer controlled and monitored also knows who and where each individual is, not by name, but by the entry point.  The U.S.A. citizens have specific on-off ramps as do the Mexican citizens, and there are gating systems that prevent unauthorized exits.  Rivers, bridges, and tunnels are designed for maximum prevention of trespass, and if one does trespass he or she will be detected with seconds.  Each of these initially somewhat expensive design features will over time save the taxpayers of both Mexico and the United States in that those that want to illegal pass through the border will learn that it is near impossible.
