Opens Tourist Areas The BorderTransportationSystem will open up National and State Parks, National Forest, National Wildlife Areas, and other tourist spots to millions of travelers.  Currently parks like Big Bend National Park and Organ Pipe National Monument are out of the way for most travelers.  This is due to the location and the lack of easy access to the attractions along our Mexican border.  The BorderTransportationSystem will cut through some of these parks, or be close to many and since the High-Speed rail can take one from San Diego to Brownsville in under 13 hours, these parks are less than a day's ride from the major population area that are along the system's rails. With tourist areas opening up to more of the public there will be a need for more accommodations, more restaurants, and more activities like horseback riding.  There will be more options to hunt and fish, and to canoe, raft, bike, and climb.
