   FAQ / WHY?

Soil Erosion

The soils of the American Southwest are at best interesting to study and try to understand, you may have soil that is rock hard when dry, and soupy when wet.  In designing bridges, roads, and other structures it is imperative that soil analysis be performed for each, before digging and building.   The BorderTransportationSystem is over a thousand miles in length, and all sorts of various soil conditions, including soil erosion from wind and the Monsoon Rains is common.
