Technical, Signal, Communications The heart of the BorderTransportationSystem is the electronics that will sense and monitor all the aspects of movement, safety, ID security, scheduling, gating, etc..  These items will need a very qualified workforce of Technicians and Engineers that 'live' with the systems.  By live, one means that they well be fully dedicated to continued education, continued testing, and continued review of their knowledge and work ethic status.  Unlike the regular maintenance crews, or the maintenance contractors this group needs to be 'in-house', working for the BorderTransportationSystem directly.  The group will be responsible for scheduled maintenance, scheduled inspections, emergency repair, and periodic upgrading of the 'off-the-shelf' and any specialized electrical equipment.
