Open Hunting and Fishing Season The border area has access to National Forest, State and other public lands, and to farms and ranches where hunting can be a profitable sport.  The import of water to the area along with the high-speed transport will allow for access to streams, or to newly created ponds and fish hatcheries, and to other sportsman locations like the Gulf of Mexico, the Gulf of Cortez {Gulf of California on some maps}, and the Pacific Ocean. There will be the normal transportation fees for getting to and from the areas, and there may be rental fees for vehicles, camping and hunting equipment, boats and fishing equipment, and for licensing appropriate for the U.S.A. or Mexico.  NOTE that Mexico does not permit the import of firearms from the U.S.A., unless you have the proper paperwork to support your hunting trip.  Be careful..
