   FAQ / WHY?

Weather Resistance

Each part of the BorderTransportationSystem must be able to withstand varied weather conditions that can range from -10 to + 140 degrees Fahrenheit.  The skin of each building and rail unit or sensor housing must be able to withstand blowing sand, blowing debris, blowing rain, and blowing hail.  The rain and hail during a summer monsoon can be massive and very damaging to glass, metal, and some plastics.

Vendors of the system's components must show proof that their product can withstand up to hurricane force winds, and three or more inches of water per hour.  There is also the threat of Sandstorms, and the nose cones and windshields have to stand up to the effect of high-speed 'sandpaper' hitting.
