Albany 2 Canada Touring Guide
by William (Bill) C. McElroy (Author)- Kindle Edition
I Love New York is the slogan of New York State and the reason is that New
York State has a variety of forest, lake and river, urban city living, rural
farming, and other attractions that bring millions to the state each year from
other states and from many foreign nations. The author attempted to write one
touring guide, but ended up writing three about upstate New York; NYC and Long
Island are still to be explored. See the author’s Hudson Valley & Vicinity
Attractions and Touring Albany to Niagara Falls guides.
This guide covers the majority of sights to see or visit from the New York
Thruway I-90, north to the Saint Lawrence River and the Great Lakes. It includes
the names, addresses, and GPS locations of campgrounds, RV camps, public
beaches, hiking trails, and much more. It includes summaries of attractions,
forts, museums, and past railroads that you may find to be attractive places to
visit. There is an extensive Index that can be seen by purchasing a copy of the
guide, here is a sample.

Much of the history of the Adirondack area dates back both thousands of years
when the Native Americas fully occupied the region, then to the 1600s, and to
the 1700/1800s when the French, the British, the Germans, and the colonist
occupied the area. This history is recorded in vast amounts on the Internet, the
author provides summaries that will give you a ‘taste’ for the history and the
locations that you can visit to learn more.
Enjoy your tour to New York, and take pictures, lots of pictures.
Ordering this e-book will provide you the name, address, GPS coordinate, and estimated time to allocate in each location. It shows you a photo of the attraction and provides you with pertinent data for making a decision to put the location on your 'to-visit list'. Each title (place name) can be further researched by entering it into a Google tm search box; and this is recommended as open and closing dates and times can vary greatly for many establishments. Note that many are NOT open during the June, July, August 100+ degree Monsoon
months.
You can go to several auto clubs to have them outline a 'vacation' for you, but you should know that they frequently OMIT interesting sights, or only provide
information on sites that have paid to be displayed, or sites where they get a 'finder's fee'. They also do not provide tips and warnings about the roads and other hazards. This author does not do any of that; his only compensation is from the Amazon.com commission schedule. He provides tips and warns of hazards that he as personally encountered in his visits to the locations.
