Cape Cod / Plymouth / Salem - Touring Guide
by William (Bill) C. McElroy (Author)- Kindle Edition / / Paperback Edition
People visiting the Atlantic seaboard should consider the three islands of Cape
Cod, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket as a place to vacation any time of the
year. Although late spring, summer, and early fall are the best times, there
still is plenty to do in the winter. It is just that winter attractions are
different from the tourists’ season attractions, and thus most travel to the
cape in warmer weather when the majority of attractions are open for your
pleasure.
This touring guide provides over a hundred attractions to visit during the
touring season, and includes not just the three islands but the three mainland
attractions as well, i.e. Plymouth Rock, Salem, and Plymouth Village. The manual
does not include restaurants, motels, hotels, and tours as these number hundreds
and many frequently change hands and names, or go in and out of business. The
attractions provided are reasonably stable and are the mainstay of each
community's revenue. Enjoy.
Ordering this e-book will provide you the name, address, GPS coordinate, and estimated time to allocate in each location. It shows you a photo of the attraction and provides you with pertinent data for making a decision to put the location on your 'to-visit list'. Each title (place name) can be further researched by entering it into a Google tm search box; and this is recommended as open and closing dates and times can vary greatly for many establishments. Note that many are NOT open during the June, July, August 100+ degree Monsoon
months.
You can go to several auto clubs to have them outline a 'vacation' for you, but you should know that they frequently OMIT interesting sights, or only provide
information on sites that have paid to be displayed, or sites where they get a 'finder's fee'. They also do not provide tips and warnings about the roads and other hazards. This author does not do any of that; his only compensation is from the Amazon.com commission schedule. He provides tips and warns of hazards that he as personally encountered in his visits to the locations.
