Oregon Residents Weekend Adventures
This welcome to Oregon travel and attraction guide provides the reader with
nearly 200 museums and attractions to visit. Each is listed with address and GPS
location data, and a short description of what is there or displayed. Also are
suggestions on how long each visit may take and in some instances there are tips
on what to expect during your visit.
There is a section on multi-day driving tours, and individual chapters on
Lighthouses, State Parks, Waterfall, Whitewater Rafting, Ski Resorts, and
Shipwrecks.
*** As a bonus, there are chapters on RV parks, Camping Grounds, Hiking Trails,
Equestrian Trails, and Tourist Railroads. ***
Please note that no phone numbers, restaurants, motels, or hotels are listed due
to the liquidity of these places and numbers, and the taste of those traveling
to the areas. This guide allows you to search and select, then plan your routes
on a mapping program like Google Maps tm.
Ordering this e-book will provide you the name, address, GPS coordinate, and
estimated time to allocate in each location. It shows you a photo of the
attraction and provides you with pertinent data for making a decision to put the
location on your 'to-visit list'. Each title (place name) can be further
researched by entering it into a Google tm search box; and this is recommended
as open and closing dates and times can vary greatly for many establishments.
Note that many are NOT open during the November, December, January, February,
March, winter snow
months.
You can go to several auto clubs to have them outline a 'vacation' for you, but
you should know that they frequently OMIT interesting sights, or only provide
information on sites that have paid to be displayed, or sites where they get a
'finder's fee'. They also do not provide tips and warnings about the roads and
other hazards. This author does not do any of that; his only compensation is
from the Amazon.com commission schedule. He provides tips and warns of hazards
that he as personally encountered in his visits to the locations.
