   FAQ / WHY?

Weather Considerations and Control

The BorderTransportationSystem passes through several temperate zones in its journey from San Diego to Brownsville, and thus presents several challenges to its design, construction, maintenance, and use.  Weather conditions can vary from mile to mile in some locations, or from state to state or within a state like Texas.  Past history shows us how to approached varied weather situations, and since the BorderTransportationSystem is mostly automated it removes the human factor that is a major cause of accidents during severe weather events.
